Affiliate Partner Program Terms
Last updated October 2026. By joining the Forklift Certification Affiliate Partner Program, you agree to the terms below.
1. Disclosure Is Required
If you are paid for a referral, the Federal Trade Commission requires you to say so, clearly, every time you share your link. Not a footnote buried somewhere. In the post, video, article, or conversation itself.
Acceptable disclosure examples:
- "I earn a commission if you sign up through this link."
- "#ad" or "#referral" (for social posts)
- "This is my referral link. I get paid if you enroll."
No disclosure, no payout. We can and will suspend any affiliate partner who promotes their link without disclosing the paid relationship.
2. Claims You Can Make
- Forklift Certification provides the formal instruction component of powered industrial truck operator training required under 29 CFR 1910.178(l) (general industry) and 1926.602(d) (construction)
- $15 once per operator, with free lifetime renewals included
- A verifiable completion certificate is issued instantly, which the operator can give their employer for its training records
- Your own honest experience and results (how much you personally have earned, how the course felt to take)
3. Claims You Cannot Make
These are the claims that get training providers in trouble with OSHA and the FTC. Using any of them will get you removed from the program.
- Do not say "OSHA approved," "OSHA certified," or "OSHA registered." OSHA does not approve, certify, register, or endorse training providers or courses. There is no federal registry to point people to, unlike some other training industries.
- Do not imply this course alone satisfies an employer's full training obligation. It provides the formal instruction piece only -- employers are still required to provide hands-on practical training and a workplace performance evaluation before an operator works independently. Always state both pieces together.
- Do not claim or imply this replaces an employer's evaluation of the specific truck(s) and worksite the operator will actually use.
- Do not make income claims on our behalf ("you'll earn $X") beyond stating your own actual results.
4. No Bidding on Our Name
Do not run paid search ads (Google, Bing, or otherwise) on "forklift-certification.io" or close misspellings of it. Bidding on our own brand name just takes credit, and cost, for traffic we would have gotten for free. Affiliate partners found brand-bidding will be removed from the program and forfeit any pending commission.
5. No Copying Our Content
Do not copy our course pages, lesson content, or site copy onto your own site or marketing material. Link to us instead. Content scraping hurts both of us in search rankings and is a fast way to get removed from the program.
6. How Commissions Work
Full details are on the Affiliate Partner signup page, but in short: your rate increases automatically with your lifetime successful referral count ($5 each for your first 50, $6 each for referrals 51-100, $7 each from 101 onward), and only ever fires when someone you refer completes a course and their certificate is issued, never just for a click or signup. Commissions are paid automatically via PayPal or Venmo.
One commission per referred customer. Since the course is a single $15 lifetime payment with free renewals, there is one purchase event per customer and one commission per customer, not one per renewal.
Attribution window. A referral link is tracked for 90 days from the last click on your link. If someone clicks a different partner's link after yours within that window, the most recent click gets credit.
7. Refunds and Reversed Commissions
Commissions pay out once a referred operator's certificate is issued. If we identify fraudulent or abusive referral activity, including fake or bot-generated signups, we may withhold or reverse the associated commission pending review.
8. Payouts
You are responsible for providing a valid PayPal or Venmo account to receive payouts. If a payout fails because of incorrect or missing details on your end, we will hold it until you correct them; we are not responsible for delays caused by bad payout information.
9. W-9 and 1099-NEC
The IRS only requires a 1099-NEC once a contractor is paid $2,000 or more in a calendar year. As our own precaution, we ask for a completed W-9 earlier than that, once your lifetime commission earnings cross $1,500. Everything you have already earned stays yours and gets paid as soon as it is received; we simply hold further payouts until the W-9 is on file.
10. Disputes
Questions about a commission, a missing payout, or anything else in this program go to support@forklift-certification.io. We will work it out directly; a real person reads and answers that inbox.
11. We Can End the Relationship
We may suspend or terminate any affiliate partner's account at any time for violating these terms, including undisclosed promotion, prohibited claims, brand bidding, or content copying. Commissions already earned on real, completed referrals before termination will still be paid.
